Class Schedules

Class Starts promptly at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 4:00 P. M

The first course begins in September. Each day will include:

  1. Learning and applying the tools of specific software.
  2. Marketing yourself via improved written and interpersonal communications.
  3. Lunch served by our award winning caterers at Northwest Forest.

Our instructors and curriculum are provided by COMPUTER EXPLORERS, an interpersonal technology education franchise. Founded and managed by educators, the company has created hundreds of technology lesson plans and instructional tools since 1983.  The company is an active member of the ISTE 100, the International Society of Technology in Education. They provide a solid grounding in technology applications such as word-processing, databases, multimedia presentations, allowing students around the world to become better communicators.

Deb Evans
President & CEO
COMPUTER EXPLORERS

Deb Evans worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in both Washington DC and King of Prussia, PA. After leaving the government she completed her AA in Early Childhood Education and became a Licensed Childcare Provider.  In 1996 Evans became a CE Teacher and in 1997 purchased a COMPUTER EXPLORERS franchise. She received several awards with CE including Double Century Club, Mentor (two years), Franchise Advisory Council Representative and Chair, 2002 Franchisee of the Year. Evans was named president of CE in January, 2005 and CEO in July, 2006. She has extensive knowledge and background on all aspects of the CE system. 


Cyndee Perkins
CE Programs Development
COMPUTER EXPLORERS

Cyndee Perkins has been a CE franchisee since 1992; she and her husband were named the first Franchisee of the Year in 1993. Prior to her involvement with CE, Perkins taught elementary and secondary school, adult foreign language and wrote curriculum for gifted and talented programs. In addition, she served on the Board of Directors for Deephaven Montessori, Deephaven, Minnesota. She was named Teacher of the Year both by Wayzata District 284 and Breck College Preparatory school in Minnesota. Perkins received her B. A. in Secondary Education in English and French from DePauw University. Currently, Perkins is involved in the development of all CE programs, and provides support to CE business owners.  She writes the corporate blog and contributes to online education articles.


Lorri Wyndham
Operations and Social Media Development
COMPUTER EXPLORERS

Lorri Wyndham grew up in Swanton, Vermont and attended the University of Vermont. She worked in Special Education from 1991 to 1995. She was employed by the Department of Immigration and Naturalization until 1997 when she and her family moved to the Houston area, where she worked for Swailes and Company in Houston as an Investigation Account Manager. Wyndham has been working with COMPUTER EXPLORERS for the last several years, in operations and training and support of new owners.  She manages social media marketing and contacts for CE and ICED. 


Kathy Muller
Director of Sales Development
ICED

Kathy Muller joined ICED in 2003 and divides her time between all seven franchise brands.  She has twenty-plus years of experience in training, personnel and organizational development, and program management, primarily in corporate environments.  Kathy’s background also includes adult leader trainer for Boy Scouts of America-Sam Houston Council, adjunct faculty member for the Center for Corporate Training & Development at North Harris College, and guest instructor for Drug-Free Business Houston (DFBH). 
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Houston with a B.S. degree in Psychology and Training & Development, Kathy is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), Houston and national chapters.

Day One
Microsoft Word 2007 - will build on what you know and help you learn the functions of the premier word processing application. Leave the class with an updated resume' to send to potential employers.
 
Day Two
Microsoft Excel 2007 - Using spreadsheets in the workplace helps track and sort data efficiently. Knowing your way around the 2007 version of Excel will help you manage your time and data in the workplace and at home. Using Excel to organize your personal expenses will get you ready for that new job.
 
Day Three
Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 - Get your point across in the workplace by using PowerPoint to explain your message. Multimedia presentations engage people by combining visuals with audio to create impact. PowerPoint 2007 will enhance your message in 2009!
 
Day Four

Social Networking - Interact, network and get your name out to potential employers via online social networking. Learn the social protocol of what-to-say-when, and to whom! Twitter is NOT for the birds!
